Re: Goodman superheat chart versus fromula

Nordyne what you usually sell? The shiny units... Any of the inverter stuff? Actually more and more because I have been having less problems. I run across Nordyne stuff occasionally...sometimes subdivisions where it's all Nordyne. IMO, it's as good as any... ;) Best thing about the non-...

Re: Goodman superheat chart versus fromula

The tech was complaining that the service manager showed up and was complaining because he was spending too much time waiting on a deep vacuum. He was no doubt, using 1/4" hoses going through a manifold like I did for so many years. I tried to explain to him he needed to ditch the manifold and...

Re: Goodman superheat chart versus fromula

FWIW.. I just watched Nordyne's microchannel series and they impressed me on (IMHO) how they are targeting the audience that CEO is talking about. Also they use ALL digital tools in the presentation. http://www.microchannelfacts.com/training-sweepstakes/ I think I saw that...was a banner ad at H-Ta...

Re: Goodman superheat chart versus fromula

Wow, that took a little time to set up that chart...I haven't the time to apply the "Jim Bergman" formulas, but I would bet they are close. Does anyone (besides me) ever wonder if service people outside the arena of "professional forums" even know what superheat and subc...

Re: Goodman superheat chart versus fromula

That's the formula...maybe they decided to lower the piston system superheat for increased coil loading and a little more refrigeration. :? Who knows? But I suspect it's all about getting the rated efficiency, for the least amount of money. Goodman's come a long way since the 90's.....

Re: PurCool Condensate Pan Tab Review

I need to try those on some apartments dealt with on a regular basis. Really old equipment with gunked up condensate plumbing. If the tablets would "clear" the plumbing, it'd be a small miracle.

Re: Flame Rectification

I knew that a flame would conduct electricity, but didn't or don't remember exactly why. It's interesting how the method of electronic flame rectification changed and why. Well, if Google, with its present day effectiveness, had been available 30 years ago, I'd have learned a lot more, a lot so...

Flame Rectification

We're all familiar with the "application" of the flame rectification principle...and I've read many articles about it over the years, yet didn't fully understand the "why or how" behind it. I just thought it was one of Mother Nature's unexplainable phenomenons. R...
