Our objective with the HomeOwner Resources Forum is to provide the Homeowner enlightenment on "owner" related topics. We hope to make the forum a source of factual and unbiased information, providing equipment owners with the resources to make informed decisions.

The information provided will be relative to basic equipment design function and operation...For reasons of potential liability (and common sense), we cannot address questions pertaining to specifics involved with equipment analysis or diagnostics.

Heating and/or cooling equipment is inherently complex, and potentially hazardous to any individual lacking sufficient training in equipment design and operation. Heat pumps, fossil fuel furnaces, and air conditioners contain one, or more sources, of high voltage, high pressure and/or explosive components. Any degree of disregard for these potential hazards could result in equipment/property damage and/or personal injury.

All of which is not to say, we won't offer "second opinions" based on any information you might provide regarding an issue you are attempting to deal with. And if you by chance, have the necessary training, knowledge and tools to work with, we'll try to help you with a diagnosis.
