I tried to explain to him he needed to ditch the manifold and get the 1/2" megaflow hoses straight to his pump. He thought I was nuts so I just gave up and walked out.

I missed that first time around...

Any of the inverter stuff?

Actually more and more because I have been having less problems.

I run across Nordyne stuff occasionally...sometimes subdivisions where it's all Nordyne.
IMO, it's as good as any... ;) Best thing about the non-Trane, Carrier, York etc, is the reasonable out-of-warranty cost for parts...

Of course, that is subject to change in the future...

Well, it's like my reply to folks when they ask, "What's the best brand?" I tell 'em just pick something and roll the dice. :|

Just put one in last week (2 ton HP), don't know if it will save them any over the price $$$$$$
They have 2 other bigger systems (same age) in the house and (I assume) this will be a test.
But it looks Purdy...

I agree with you that SO FAR.....
Nordyne parts are not priced by Maserati.

I just found an excel file that is supposed to give you target superheat by inserting the numbers. If I recall correctly, it was Hvacrmedic that posted this on Protech. The file is dated back to 2010. I he believe said if it was reused he wanted credit, so credit to Hvacrmedic for this excel file. You will need a program capable of opening an xlsx file.

Thanks to EXCEL that only takes a few minutes to set up, the reason I made a spreadsheet was to have the ability to add other brand charts I find in the future.

My Ruud dealer is now carrying a piston air handler for some of the 14 SEER matchups, been a while since Ruud/Rheem sold a piston coil.

Which app are you using? I have tried a few free ones, some were pretty obvious why they were free....

It's one of the HVACBuddy aps. R-4. Got it awhile back when I was bored...
It is simple SH/SC/airflow stuff.
But it is on my phone and easy to play with, while the temps are getting right.
